- EU milk deliveries increased by 0.9% (+ 116 000 t) in August 2019 and cumulated milk collection in Jan-August period is +0.3% (+348 000 t) higher than last year.
- Increases in milk deliveries in August 2019: PL (+2.2%, 22 000 t), DE (+0.7%, 20 000 t), FR (+1.0%, 19 000 t) and IE (+2.2%, 19 000 t)
- Notable decreases in August: IT (-1.5%, 14 000 t), SE (-4.2%, 10 000 t), DK (–1.4%, -7 000 t) and RO (-3.7%, -4 000 t).
- Cumulated milk deliveries for first 8 months: IE +9%, UK +2.6%, PL +2.2%, ES +0.7% (compared to Jan.-Aug. 2018).
- Increase of EU butter and SMP production in Jan-August 2019 by +3.9% and +1.4% respectively; slight reduction of WMP (-1.7%), fermented milk (-0.6%) and cheeses (-0.4%).
- Australian milk production in August 2019 decreased by 5.9% (- 45 000 t) compared to August 2018 and -6.9% (-99 000 t) in July-August 2019/2020 compared to 2018/19.
- US milk production in August increased by 0.2% (+0.1% January-August 2019 vs. 2018).
- NZ milk production: +0.8% (+11 000 t) in August and +2.8% (+51 000 t) June-August 2019/20 compared to 2018/19
