• EU average SMP price stable at 191 €/100kg (+44% above last year level); WMP price increased by 2.1%
• Spot milk price in IT decreased by 1.2% (41.3 c/kg)
• Milk price has dropped in the US in January (-3.7% compared to December 2018, to 31.0 c/kg); +5.8% compared to January 2018
• Increase in NZ milk price in January (+2.0%) up to 30.0 c/kg (-3.8% compared to January 2018)
• Feed costs 3.8% lower and energy costs 2.4% higher in week 10 compared to the previous 4 weeks’ average
• EU SMP exports in January 2019 are 53% above January 2018 level, especially in China, Philippines, Egypt and Indonesia and
• EU butter exports are 15% lower in January 2019, cheese (+8%) and WMP (-10%)
• NZ increased their dairy exports in January 2019 for butter/butteroil +44%, SMP +7% and WMP +18%
